With the aftermarket stock, 250. With OEM stock, maybe 300 ish.

Thats why the OP asked what was "pre-panic" price of an SKS.

Before Clinton a Norinco went for $90-100 at the gun stores out west.
A paratrooper was about $110 and a russian was about $120-130 if it had a laminated stock.

Not that great of an investment over 20 years time actually. Would have been much better off buying gold and silver in the early 90s.
