Yeah, until North Korea makes some real concessions or public statements recognizing South Korea's right to exist as a democracy and ally of the West, I'm going to assume that this is all a publicity stunt to get the world to tell our strong, pro-American leader, Donald Trump, to back off and leave the Norks alone while they quietly build more nukes and sharpen their missile-launching skills (but without any actual tests of ICBM's, at least not from their homeland. Maybe Norks will be bused over to China and will do their testing in a partnership with the Chinese, and they'll call it a "space mission" launch.

The last I heard, North Korea's ruling family has been unwavering for 40+ years on these points:

1-- Korea must be unified as a communist / Juche system (the North is in charge).

2-- South Korea cannot exist as its own nation. That's an abomination that can barely be tolerated, but not for long.

3-- The Kim ruling family are God's representatives on Earth, and the creator of the universe wishes them to rule perpetually.
