North Myrtle Beach fishing

Man we used to go camping in North Myrtle beach a lot back in the day before Barefoot campground got sold and turned into condos. We never really fooled with the pier much preferring the mouths and pools of tidal creeks. Tide changes bring tons of fish. The outgoing tides suck tons of bait, shrimp, crabs, small fish, etc out of the creeks into the ocean and everything comes to the creek mouths to feed. The incoming tide their is a lot of fish coming in the creeks to get into the swash to feed on the limitless shrimp crabs and other goodies that live there. I've caught lots of door mat flounder hanging out during high tide in the often overlooked pools that aren't much more than roadside drainage ditches at low tide.
Sorry I cant help with a good pier but good luck just the same.
