Not asking prayers anymore but

What'd they do? Cauterize with a laser?

Best to you and yours.
Not sure.yet what he did.
The bleeding was wayv up beyond where that could get a balloon. Put in something to stop it up as well as a balloon. They come out in 4 days.
Dr said my septum looked like the nose had been broken at some point. Neither my mother or I remember anything like that. I think he fixed it.
My wife hopes it reduces snoring.

Won't mind some well wishes.

Yesterday about 5pm went to the Houston (county) ER. With a bloody nose of all things. Hadn't stopped for an hour, and I'm on bloodthinners.

By 9pm they gave up and sent me to Medical Center (Macon) ER. Houston doesn't have a weekend Ear-Nose-Throat Dr on call.

Didn't get the bleeding under some sorta control until 12-1am. That's when I woulda needed prayers!
Had surgery around 2 (I don't remember that, which is a good thing).
In hospital for observation. Not sure how long.

Not fun throwing up a stomach full of blood. Even less for the ambulance crew!

I seriously doubt that is was due to the lack of an on call Ear-Nose-Throat specialist on the weekend, it was probably more due to the fact Houston Medical center is so short staffed on nurses. They have been hemorrhaging nurses lately; they have been losing money for years and have been cutting benefits and nurses are leaving in droves. This, compounded by the fact that their HR department is staffed by complete imbeciles and incompetent dip****s that are doing their absolute best to run all the good nurses off.
I left there because it was made very clear to me that they (HR and management) neither like nor want male nurses or veterans; they are currently under EEOC investigation because of their attitude and actions.
Don't worry about the ambulance crew, trust me, they are used to it. Since you are on blood thinners I'm guessing that you already have cardiac issues. If you are on warfarin I imagine they gave you some Vitamin K to help bring the bleeding under control.
In the future, go to the Coliseum ER, trust me on that! While every hospital in the area is severely understaffed, the Coliseum is offering big bonuses and better pay to recruit and steal Houston's and Navicent's experienced, but disgruntled nurses.
