You have to take into account how your actions today can best influence the child tomorrow.

^^^This, 100%.

Your aunt needs to get her act together, and get some help. Not to save the marriage but to get the hell out of there. And with him now turning to the kid...time to call in DFACS, CPS...whichever you have in your area, and get that child out of there ASAP if possible.

Whatever you do...don't commit a violent crime to solve a violent crime. That screws up your life as well as the aunt's/kid's.

you cant help your aunt until she is ready to leave... period

you can help the child by contacting Child Services.

if you call the police... he may or may not be arrested, but ultimately will make his bond and get out. The chances of him coming after you are slim... then chances of him taking out his anger caused by you on your aunt and the child are great.

The only good solution is the one where your aunt says enough is enough and leaves

It sucks to have to stand by, but sometime getting involved in these types of situations causes more harm than good. I see it over and over again working in family law

This.
Ten years ago, I would have said kick his ass. But nowadays you will end up in more trouble than him.

Wow. My initial instinct would be to send that &^#*&$^$&*$ to the cemetery. Honestly though I have no idea what I would do in your situation. Sorry I have no advice, good luck. Stuff like this makes me sick.

I have to agree with this one. No matter what you do, if she is not ready to leave (physically, mentally, and emotionally), she will just wind up back with him. I know it sucks, but ...

I appreciate the advice, I've thought about it all day. I agree with most of you, that kicking the hell out of him is not the best option. I would like to, but it just puts my family in more of a bind. I'm gonna talk to my Mom and my grandma and see what they think is the best option. My little cousin is more that welcome to stay with me, but, I guess she would have to transfer schools, b/c they live 45 mins from me. Thank you all for your comments and advice. I think CPS is the best idea, but should probably talk with other family members before I take that step. thanks

Call the Police. Then call CPS. You can make anonymous reports to the CPS and keep them that way.
The reason for calling the police is this report would help your aunt in a custody battle once the marriage dissolves and it could keep him away from the kids for ever if he gets convicted. It will also help your aunt gain more in support from him. Legal battles can leave more of a beating than a single butt kicking can inflict. Lest you Kill him and dump his body in the ocean like Van Der Sloot did. Just dont play any poker in peru or hang out with easy women after wards.
