It is an individual decision, but I for one support the NRA. I may not always agree with everything they do, but I do support the overall effort to defend the Second Amendment.

Didn't Neil Knox tell people where the NRA was going? The only reason I stay with them is that people usually bicker among themselves, "I hunt ducks, they are not after my shot gun." "I"m a recreation shooter, they don't care about my target rifle".
When the real purpose is to band together and not let them mess with ANY of our guns. The Libs say we want to compromize when they have nothing to give, only take away.

If you REALLY want to protect your rights best to go with the big dog. Who do you think legislators (nationally plus GA) listen to; a group of maybe a few thousand or 3-4 million. No brainer here. Join Ga Carry or whatever, but join NRA for best lick on gun owners rights. I think the antis would LOVE to see us divided to the point we support local groups rather than the NRA. It ain't perfect by a long shot, but it's the best we have.

I just got a "Join the NRA" packet in the mail today. I am not sure if I want to. I am just not thinking they are really doing much for run rights. I have heard Georgia Carry is a better "group" to hook up with. What's yalls opinion?

I do both and even though the NRA can be as annoying as hell, they do important stuff for all gun owners (I know there is disagreement about that but they are all we got at the fed level)...
