October 21 & 22 => Meteor Shower Lights Up the Sky (Per Scientists)

Well, I just found out more details: look towards the constellation Orian the hunter who is drawing a bow. The meteors will appear to come from that part of the sky (although which direction they travel is more or less random.)

So where is the constellation Orion at this time as viewed from the state of Georgia?

A: it is in the east for the next couple hours. It rose over the eastern horizon at 11 PM. Then at 5 AM it will reach its peak of 60° elevation generally to the south.

It will disappear in the west (compass heading 270° )before dawn .

I saw a shooting star Saturday night in SE Georgia around 1 am. Had no idea the comet was coming through, so I suppose that's where it originated from. Three of us in the car all saw the same thing. What was odd was that it all appeared different colors to the three of us. One guy said it was yellow, one said it was white, and I saw it as red. It was bright enough that it burned a line in my eyes for a couple of minutes as if you looked at the wire in a dim light bulb.
