Take a picture of the curb at the next exit ramp.... I'm sure you of all people appreciate the fires caused by idiots doing that too?

Disposal
Most cigarette filters are made from cellulose acetate. Depending on conditions, estimates for the time taken for them to degrade range from British American Tobacco's 1 month - 3 years,[SUP][3][/SUP] to 10–15 years.[SUP][8][/SUP]
This resistance to biodegrading is a factor in littering,[SUP][9][/SUP] environmental damage[SUP][10][/SUP] and suggested lung damage.[SUP][11][/SUP] In the 2006 International Coastal Cleanup, the number of individual cigarettes and cigarette butts collected amounted to 24.7% of the total number of garbage items collected, over twice as many items as any other category.[SUP][12][/SUP]
Man, I was just jerking ya chain a bit. Must be a pet peive of yours or sumthin. LMAO.
And cigs cause very few roadside fires in GA, they burn at too low a temp and the high humidity causes fuel moisture to be too high here for ignition except under very extreme conditions we rarely get. Most roadside fires ya see around GA are caused by either catalytic converters or hot carbon build up being ejected from diesel engines. Less than 1% of our roadside fires can be blamed on smokes.

I work with all tree hugging liberals. One of the more sane ones drives a Prius. When I asked her if she had read the latest reports on the actual "carbon footprint" of that thing (for many of the reasons she mentioned) vs a gasoline powered car, her response was "I don't want to know!" Well.... at least she was being honest.I'm a tree hugger, I love the outdoors. I love hiking, fishing, hunting, and just wandering around with the family or dogs. I recycle, I don't litter, and I also don't suffer under the delusion that purchasing a new Toyota Prius, Tesla, or Nissan Leaf is going to help save the environment. Want to help keep the Earth "green"? Buy less ****. Pick up some trash from streams. Buy and use a slightly older vehicle and drive it until it dies. I just have to laugh at the supposed environmentalists here in Decatur that drive around in Nissan Leafs loaded with massive batteries with a short service life that were shipped from japan on a big ass diesel freighter.
You can't consume your way to sustainability assholes, so don't give me a snide look for driving a 24 year old Volvo.

plus they have to make those new fireproof cigarettes now....i hate when they go out and you have to relight it..........
Ya think?
I have personally seen a roadside fire being started by a cig. Just lucky I guess. Only burned a couple acres at most but required two trucks to show up and waste their freaking time and resources on what was obviously 100% preventable.

So glad a switched to e-cig. saving me a fortune. You got that right! I smoke off brands and it'd be worth paying an extra $2/pk if the upper shelf stuff would stay lit.

I was in slow rolling traffic on the interstate and beyond it when it finally got going. I saw the aftermath on the way back (at a much higher speed).so you watched the fire start and didnt try to stomp it out or anything???.....![]()
