I just sold a rifle to an ODT member. On the way home, this thought occurred to me while listening to political commentary on the radio.
We just engaged in a quintessential free trade transaction. Willing buyer, willing seller, fair price for a good product, all parties happy. ODT added character -- no questions were asked about paperwork, and no exchange of credentials was requested or necessary beyond the ODT rating and PM systems, but we each volunteered carry permits as a gesture of good faith.
And . . . this particular transaction was an expression of a uniquely American right and value.
Happy Thanksgiving!
