I was under the impression MEMBERS & Family. Not the General PUBLIC.
This year did NOT have that same feel as years before.
I enjoy the comradery & fellowship of ODT members & brothers.
and making New friends too.
Gotta think Heavy on attending if open again to the Public in the future.
We drove 2 1/2 hours to be Shoved & pushed & stepped on. :eek2:
this 💯‼️

My 2 cents is the tickets were on sale for 5 months if you can’t order your tickets in that time frame, you should not be allowed to purchase at the door. If you drove, walked or rode a bike and arrived with out a ticket that is on you . Personally I don’t want to be around a bunch of people that smell like a skunks ass with there pants down below their butt
Also saw a FFL selling a gun to a female with him standing there can’t tell you the whole story because I know i will get a vacation

Ohhhhhh….

Yeah I'll try to get a couple more reasonable trucks next time, or try to do our own concessions so the prices can be reasonable. I bought lunch for two folks and it was $50. It was good but not that good.

We need to sell an "Early Access" pass next time that gets you in 30 minutes early 😂

I only advertise the show on ODT, currently there is no outside advertising in an effort to limit it to ODT folks as much as we can. I turn down sponsorships because I don't want the event to get advertised in other locations (like a sponsors facebook/instagram page, etc.) I even ask the Civic Center to not put anything about it on their sign or website.

The first two years I tried to only do presale tickets but we had so many members come to the door and go "I didn't know it was only pre-sale, I drove from Savannah for this" or something like that, and I'm not going to just turn them away. (I did call each of them liars to their faces as I took their money and let them in :D ) This year we decided to just allow it and charge more at the door and I thought that would make more people purchase ahead of time, but a lot of folks seemed to prefer to just pay more at the door. 🤷‍♂️

I think the next show will be done very similarly to this one. @benmmc and I have to discuss a few things and make some tweaks. We'll probably set a hard limit of 1 booth and 2 tables per person/company. (That was the limit this time, but I allowed a couple vendors to get more since our tables had never sold out in previous years.)

I think my philosophy going forward is to do what I can to limit it to just our own members but if other people wander in then that's fine, it's just more people for our members to try and sell to anyway, and maybe they become members after seeing how much better it is at our events compared to other gun shows.

We're gonna try and get the next show presale up and running soon. Previous vendors should expect to hear from us within a week or two.
If I am reading this correctly Nothing is gonna be changed and its let anyone in with the money. Hard pass but I will miss seeing some of you guys at the show.

thinking back I recollect seeing a few items in and on waistbands, carrying wasn't to be allowed at the show
That was me. I was carrying in a holster but the Gee-Lock was unloaded and no magazine in. Mag was in the car. I didn't have any boolits in my pockets.

The couple I mentioned previously may become members, and bought something from someone as they had a plastic shopping bag when they left that they didn't have when they entered. Score +2.

The four young fellas that came in right around 4:15-4:30 looked rough, but were looking for something very specific. Probably won't ever be members, but they found what they wanted and bought it. +1 if they were legit, -2 if the seller didn't do due diligence.

I didn't know it was open to the public. But kinda hard to enforce when the show up?

"Pants on fire!" No excuse for not knowing it was a pre-sale.

On the other hand, way back for ODT #1, I was in that boat of having to cancel at the last minute due to work / life / etc. So I'm ok with on-site admission prices if they are higher. Double (or more) the admission, especially if they drove 4 hours to get there.

I'm looking forward to November. I've got a lot of unrealized capital gains in powder and primer that I have to pay for.

Your house, Okuma Okuma , your rules. I'll be there in November, God willing.

I done seen dat For-Tay! But I swear it was a Hi-Point! Don't you be getting no airs saying it was a Gee-lock. Next tang you know you'll be saying you got a HK or somethin'.

well Mr. Moon it was not you I was referring to, did not give yours any thought, but those gutter dwellers sliding around were the ones to keep an eye on
