DAM, sounds like your dealer works for the feds approving stamps as his day job. What was his FFL excuse?

Just FYI, experience has proven that in most cases if they tell you there is no problem, there is a problem or he would have had it ready to ship when he received your stamp. The kiss of death is if th tells you not to worry, WORRY!!!!

I am worried. Was told 4-5 weeks on transfer and that was fine. Form 3 submitted 11/28, I was told. I called just to check last week, counting on a delay for holidays, but no dice. Waited and called today and was told it was approved but they could not ship until they worked out something with their FFL, renewal or something... Sounds fishy, but as long as it happens, I don't care. Live and learn, buy local...

Where is it coming from? There must be a provision for this in the rules. Tell him you want your money back tomorrow if he can't ship and then go to Dobbs or one of the other font local dealers.

I got a pretty good deal on the can. It and the barrel for my 21 have been my first GB purchases. Both sellers had very good feedback and my AAC/Storm Lake barrel was here in 2 days for under $150. I'm going to let him work on it for a week or so, them I am going to get impatient...

Like I said, live and learn. My .308 can will come from a local dealer and I'm in the market for it within the next couple of months.

You may have gotten a pretty good deal but one thing you can bet on is that they are not selling it to you with no profit involved. I don't know about you but I work for my money. They got paid up front and already have their investment + profit in hand. They need to make this right with you immediately. That can should have been ready to leave their hands the minute they received your stamp. It is not your fault that they are having issues with their FFL. It is up to them to keep their ducks all lined up if they are going to sell anything at all.

It is not enough that you get jerked around by the Feds now you get jerked around by a retailer who already has his investment and profit covered. Do you think he really, really cares how long it takes you to get your can?

I buy in state for this reason but it would be a service to others here who shop out of state if you share the name for your retailer. I just spoke to a holster maker this afternoon who received great reviews on here and they told me how much they appreciated our support. I would be happy to call your retailer and let them know we do not appreciate them jerking you around after receiving your money.

Good luck either way but this is a real soar spot with me!!!!

I just put in my first request for stamps ever! Went with a couple of suppressors to start with. Now just the long wait time.

It's kind of funny that I'm probably going to have to wait longer to receive my suppressors after payment than I had to wait on my new house to be built after payments...

For taking so long to approve, they sure do take the $$ quick. Submitted on 1/10 and cleared on 1/15. Now just 6+ months of waiting for approval.
