OK hows about who has famous folks/stories amongst you

I actually bumped into Elton John back in the early nineties or late eighties ,whenever they first had a playoff. we were in a crowd of people going into the braves game, very crowded, and this little guy rubbed his ran up against my arm (accidentally I'm sure) it felt like it burned me (lol, I guess all the drugs seeping out of him). Anyway, he was a short guy, wearing a brimmed winter hat ( in this hotter than hell Atlanta summer). I didn't recognize him at first, and my girlfriend says hey, that looks like Elton John while he was still standing beside me, well he kinda gave one of those smirked looks then turned his head. The guy with him just gave us one of those nods like , yeah, you busted us.

Was on very early morning flight back to Atlanta from Chicago was sitting there waiting, realized I was next to The Temptations waiting. Ace Richman, who was a friend of the family, was a member of the Sunshine Boys gospel/cowboy-western singing group. When I was in freshmen in college I got rear ended in the parking lot and had some damage to my Chevette, and Ace had a Citation down in his basement garage, and sold me the rear tail light and trim panel off of it to fix it. I got to go upstairs and talk with him a bit, see pictures of him with all the band, some with him singing with Elvis, JD Sumner, etc.

Going back a bit further, two of my relatives took part with the other men in the hanging of Leo Frank. My great-grandfather and his friend was around 10 or 12 cut up pieces of the rope and sold them in the Mariette square for a nickel each. Every now and then I run across other folks who's family were there, its really not that uncommon. As I dug back into my genealogy, found out I'm descended from one of William Wallace's brothers. He had two, all of whom were killed after he was executed.

Let’s see, I’ve met: George and Laura Bush, Stephen King, William Shatner, Lou Ferrigno, Adam West, Carrie Fisher, Ed Harris, Barbara Hershey, R E Cole, Dutch Van Kirk, Gene Wilder, John Pinnette, Ralphie May, Sean Hannity, Beau Bridges, Kathy Najimy, Stan Lee, Alice Cooper, Lucy Lawless, Tyler Perry, Kim Kardashian, Ted Turner, Jimmy Carter, Jane Fonda, Bobby Cox, Don Sutton, Dale Murphy, and most of the current and former Atlanta Braves....I worked as an extra in films and television for years and did conventions and events when my kids were younger.

ALICE COOPER!!!!
Don’t know where this picture was taken but I would bet my cousin was there. I remember going to cousins house in Stone Mountain when I was a kid and thinking this Alice Cooper guy was wild. Cousin has been a fan since I know the early 80’s. Anywhere Alice goes Dewight has a way of being there to see him perform

Almost forgot this one... Played a round of golf with John Daly. A good time was had by all. If I remember correctly he polished off a case of Miller Lites during the round. He broke his driver over his knee when he hit a bad shot.

Ed Wallace of the Sunshine Boys lived in Stockbridge. Super nice guy and very low key. Walked in his house and there's all these awards and movie paraphernalia. Passed away a few years ago. A product of a bygone era when being a gentleman meant something .

I have several uncles from Hawaii that served in the 442nd Infantry Regiment in WWII.
The 442nd is the most decorated unit in military history with the price paid in blood.
Most of them are buried in the National Memorial Cemetery in the punch bowl Hawaii.
I am proud of their service and wish I had could have continued military service in my generation
"Go for broke!"
