OK hows about who has famous folks/stories amongst you

That was my old stompin’ grounds when I was a teenager, I graduated from Morrow High School about a hundred years ago. Lol! We used to cruise the old Shoney’s on Friday & Saturday nights next to the old Putt Putt golf place looking for people to race red light to red light on Jonesboro Rd. I had a ‘68 SS 396 Chevelle I raced folks with for a while till my Dad (a Cop) found out and took the car away from me. I would up getting a ‘69 VW Bug after that and blew the motor in it running it as fast as I could go everywhere. Ahh, the good ol’ days back in the 70’s. lol!
What year did you graduate from Morrow High school?

I met champion drag racer John Force at the Southern Nationals in Commerce about 10-12 years ago, that guy is probably 5’3” & 120 lbs soaking wet and he’s got a beer gut too. Lol!

So, another Jeff Foxworthy story, but this one involves a friend of mine. My friend Scott is one if the funniest people I know. He was in a local Atlanta bookstore, Barnes and Noble or something like it, and he spotted Jeff Foxworthy in the store. He quickly made his way over to the comedy books section and found a "you might be a redneck" book.

No, he doesn't take the book to Foxworthy and ask him to sign it. Instead he buries his head in the book, laughing out loud as he flips through the pages. He's a tall guy at 6'5" or so, and quite visible across the store, so he keeps this up until Foxworthy notices him. Being a nice guy, Foxworthy tries to create a nice moment for Scott, the kind we are talking about. He quietly sidles up next to Scott, waiting for him to take notice. Scott keeps thumbing through the book, purposely ignoring the presence. After a minute, Jeff decides to speak.

"You enjoying the book?"

Never looking up from the book, Scott says "ARE YOU KIDDING? THIS GUY IS HILARIOUS!!".

He never acknowledges that the author is standing right next to him.

After a minute, Foxworthy chuckles and walks away, shaking his head. To this day Scott is proud of the fact that he's never met Foxworthy, but did manage to make him laugh.

Had a beer with Steve Spurrier at Hilton Sandestin- one cool cat
Met Roger Penske, Richard Petty, Kyle Petty, Buckshot Jones, Bill and Chase Elliot, Greg and Todd Bodine... I'm sure other NASCAR guys, but I forget.
Met Kevin Costner... kinda a Dick
I'm horrible at recognizing people, so I'm sure I've rubbed elbows with others and didn't know it.

Not a great list, but it's all I got.

^^^^It's funny that you say STEVE SPURRIER is cool...I've always thought if I ever saw him I'd punch him in the face...he just always looked like he'd be a goober...so the saying goes DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER...I still wanta punch him though...
