Ok, who believes there are Aliens?

Leaving the concept of a higher power aside for the moment:

Given what we know about the size of the universe and the number of galaxies, and the number of stars within those galaxies, the odds of there not being life elsewhere are mind-bogglingly small.

BUT...the odds of us ever coming in contact with those life forms is also, by today's known math, mind-bogglingly small, because of the distances involved. The vastness of space is hard to comprehend. You'd have a better chance of finding a single needle in all of the combined haystacks everywhere on the earth than running into an alien life form.

Unless they are intelligent enough to know we are here and seek us. That's another can of worms and a different set of problems.

I've seen it illustrated as Earth's history as a 24 hour clock. From formation of the Earth we occupy only a tiny fraction of one second just before Midnight. Makes you feel kind a small.
