The Liv P51 pilot watch hasn't arrived yet, but I did go look at some TAG Heuer today... They were nice, but the one I really liked was the Aquaracer, and they are like $2800 for the quartz and $3800 for the automatic... Didn't want to spend that kinda money on a watch, but I did glance over and saw a Bulova Marine Star, that looks a lot like the Aquaracer, but for like 1/5 the price. And it was on sale for 25% off, so just over $600 out the door with taxes...

Love the way it looks, will be wearing it a lot...

I dig the Aquaracer too. IF... I could afford it I think I would just go with the quartz model since it's easier on my budget not just at the point of sale but maintaining it too.
The Marine Star is definitely a good looking piece but I read it doesn't even have any water resistance. I don't know if it even has a threaded crown. Seems like they should have named it something else. But it does look damn good. As far as Bulova goes I want the square case Frank Sinatra dress watch and the Oceanographer commonly referred to as the Devil Diver. I just like the retro 70s aesthetic it has. I'm also looking real hard at a Seiko Recraft on the Jomashop site. I dig the square cushion style case and the green dial. In fact I think the dial looks a lot like a roulette wheel. And it can be had for under two bills which is pretty damn good considering current Seiko prices.

I have two Bulova Marinestar models .. one is 100m water resistance, but the other is 200m with a screw down crown. Both are beautiful and very affordable. I might sell my orange dialed one...

Went to Reed's in Macon to look at Rolex, guess they stopped carrying them in 2019. Sure hate to go into Atlanta to look at them in person.

Totally agree on Seiko. I too have Rolex tastes, but Ramen Noodle budget much of there time. I spent a good bit on the new watch, but I have never done that. Most of my watches are in the $300-$600 range from Seiko, Tissot, Citizen, Bulova, Victorinox, etc...

My favorite Rolex is the Arctic Explorer 2. Seiko makes their version of that for under $500, and I will get one in a month or two... Love the look of it, and like you said, its a Seiko... set it and forget it...

How about I look in my watch box and see what I can toss your way? When I get home I will see what I have that's coming out of the collection, to make room for some new pieces. I am almost positive that I have a Shock with 200M water resistance, that has physical analogue hands, while also having a small digital screen for date, stop watch, etc...
