Got it back today, just in time for my Anniversary.

Every bit as nice as when I bought it, huge scratch on the back gone, desk diving marks gone, rubber strap looks new again. I'm happy.

Correct. My Seamaster was I think $3k new, literally 15 years ago. That works out to be 56 Cents a day to enjoy it. 25 if you consider I could still sell it for $1500 right now (quartz model but I know better now).

Meanwhile my Pelagos bought used has gone up like $800 in the two years I bought it.

That said watches can be fun and cheap and look at this ridiculous thing I got today.

Is that watch from the set of the Tron movie?

Rounded out my collection today... New watch box with 15 nice quarts watches, and then a 4 pocket watch winder box that has... well, no 4 watches... The latest addition:

Gonna slow down on watch purchases for awhile, and put money into crypto or something that actually adds to my bank account rather than draining it... haha

Something cool I ran across, there's apps to listen to your watch and see how accurate it is. It's interesting to see how the angle/direction of your watch makes it run faster or slower. There's a bunch of apps but the one I'm using is called Watch Accuracy Meter.
