Omega is marketing a Swatch budget version of the Speedmaster moon watch. Only available at Swatch stores starting today for a little over $200. I'm already seeing them on ebay for $1500+. I'll buy one later for msrp.

Whoever pays scalper prices for these plastic watches will regret it. I see a Beanie Baby type moment in the near future.

Seiko 5 I recently ordered from Jomashop. They're a pretty good grey market retailer for most brands. BTW...I thought I was ordering it in black but apparently I clicked on green. Still a decent looking daily beater.

Haven't had a watch in a loooooong time.
Clocks everywhere so don't see a need
these days for one around my wrist.
Do have grandpa's old pocket watch
which is an Elgin. Sent it to jeweler for
cleaning in the 1980s.
Looked at a few watches at a flea market.
A Rolex for $25 sounded reasonable until
closer examination revealed the name was
actually Roley. The $15 Bulova turned out
to be a Bulivia so passed on that one too.
