Okay I'm into watches again. Post your favorite models

Someone shared this with me today. A DIY watch club to build your own stuff.

Interesting, I had no idea such a thing existed

And that is kinda why I didn't save up for a Rolex, and went with a more obscure brand with my Cuervo y Sobrinos. Well, and the Cuervo was only $5k instead of double or triple that... lol

But in the end, everyone sees the Rolex and all that really says about you is that you can afford a Rolex, and want people to KNOW that you got a Rolex...

I felt like there are brands out there that make a fantastic piece, have a rich heritage and story to tell, and because it's not well known, people who are into watches will ask about it and strike up a conversation about it. What is there to discuss about a Rolex, you know? It's such a known thing, that there isn't much to say about it...

Agreed, there is plenty of other brands to pick and choose from, higher quality, better movements, more history, etc.. and most of which being far cheaper.

really digging Vacheron, GS, Parmigiani, Cartier, and Hublot at the moment. Still mostly mainstream, but I feel all of which offer great pieces at different price points.

Still a Rolex fanboy at heart, just moved away from the more boring pieces.

Yeah I have always been attracted to what everyone else doesn't have. My first car was a 76 Audi Fox. So I'm a weirdo from WAY back. And yeah I dig different watches. What I don't like is blatant homage watches. I don't want anything that looks like a Submariner or a Daytona. Not a fan for chronographs anyway .
I prefer models with their own unique look like the Oris Aquis or the Ventura. I think I'm on record as wanting a Tag Monaco real bad . But again it has it's own look and following. There's plenty of watch snobs that hate on Tag Heuer every day but they have to respect the Monaco.
So I guess I ain't a Chevy guy or Mopar guy and probably not even a Ford guy .

I had an ‘80(?) Audi Fox. It got 50+ mpg and ran like a top.

SKX013 with Strapco Jubilee braclet - creeping up in price - A really nice daily
