When I was a kid and we went to the UK to visit relatives I used to read "Commando Comics".

No comic books but my brothers and i never missed "Combat". I even had a Thompson submachine gun for playing war. Come to think of it -- nobody was ever a Nazi.

Give me an MG-42 and a spare barrel and I'll be a Nazi....

In the 70s when I was TDY working on a M/W shot I stayed at a little B&B inn that had ever Life Magazine and National Geographic since before WWII in their lounge. It was really something to look through all that. The name of the little town was called "Cold Blow."
