Old school Mercedes anyone?

Had a few of these years ago, this is my newly acquired 1983 240D. Anyone else have any vintage Mercs? Also know of any knowledgeable shops about these cars in the Northeast Georgia area?

I had a 78 450 SEL and a 9? CLK 55 AMG, really like the Mercs. Friend had a 6.9 SEL and a Pullman, the 6.9 was a beast.

My father in law is restoring an 85 convertible right now.

I ran a diesel truck back and forth across the country on SVO (Straight Vegetable Oil) It's an easy thing to do on these old Mercedes.

I’ll bet it runs like a sewing machine. My dad had an old Mercedes’ when I was 12. We thought it would run forever until some drunk bonehead decided to rearrange half of it but we all walked away it. That was one smooth riding car.

that is a good looking car. I've turned into my own mechanic. its been a painful journey. but very rewarding. there is a lot of information online and part are available you just have to do some digging. mercedessouce on YouTube and benzworld forum have been the best. I've got 81 240d and just bought a 83 300td wagon. they are great cars. congratulation!
