Hard to imagine a business not accepting it

Aldi is a weird company in many ways. For example, they're not real big on transparency and they don't have to be since they're privately owned. They must have some reason for the payment policy, but I don't know what it is.

There's been no other time or place in all of human history that food was so cheap and easily obtained and some people still can't feed themselves just let natural selection run its course.

30 - 40% of the food supply in the US is completely wasted and goes unconsumed.

Okay I've got something to say and because of my situation I have the right to say it. You people have a right to judge me because I can't change what's in your mind, so, sit down Shut Up and Hold on it's going to be a bumpy ride. I'm currently in the process of applying for disability, those of you who don't know about this it's a long process takes approximately a year-and-a-half. That's a year-and-a-half of no paycheck zero. I'm where I'm at because of 47 years I'm driving heavy equipment my knees back hips shoulders and elbows all have extreme arthritis. Most of the things that you take for granted to me are painful. I still work at home I'm basically a house husband and I do the best I can to do something for my family. I'm not lazy and it bugs the heck out of me that I can't get out and do that I had to give up my job 3 years from retirement. I did have the sense to put into a long term disability insurance which will kick in in 6 months. So now my wife is the breadwinner until that time. The things I found out when I started to apply for disability insurance were that any money that I receive from Social Security I have to give to the insurance company my total income can't go over a certain amount and because I was responsible adult and saved money and invested in the stock market and if paid for my house that I can't get as much money as people who spend all their money on Escalades and all the other trappings of life that are frivolous. It just irritates me that because I was Thrifty because I was responsible that I can receive $2,400 less per month than people who spend everything they had as soon as I touched it. We are in eligible for food stamps and I'm not on Medicaid so I'll have to pay 3 to $400 a month for insurance for myself and my wife and pay for all our prescriptions out of pocket. We're going to make it just because that's what we do but I've got an extended family relative who has four children and none of them have the same last name and they get $900 a month in EBT free medical and everything else that's free on the board. I've seen these people you talk about they have a grocery cart full of meat and then end up paying for their beer with cash and it usually comes from a great big wad. sadly it's the America we built I guess it's that thing about a puppy and a dog. You know what I mean don't get a puppy because eventually it will turn into a dog. just wanted to let you know that some people abused them. Just saying

I have been in your situation (several times)..After a serious injury I had a Doctor tell me to go on disability and to bring him the papers and he would sign them..Guess what?

He is still waiting for me to bring him any papers to sign.
It was hard and difficult but I got up and if I could no longer due what I had previously done, then I was going to find the next thing I could do to earn a living.

I find it hard to believe that in this economy you cant find employment ...
You maybe cant/don't want employment that doesn't pay what your "standards" are or pays less than you have been making....

Security guard at a front gate?(sit and watch cars drive by)
Sales?..Telemarketing?..Your voice still works don't it?
Heck even crippled wheelchair people have jobs because I work with one in our office

I have a family member (distant) who is legally blind for crying out loud and he works everyday.
I asked him one day how he does it?
He said he keeps his records with a brail system he invented and he talks to customers all day on the phone in Customer service/sales...

You say you saved your money and you have a house and money in the "Stock market"..
Your wife is working and your kids are grown..

Just because you cant run heavy equipment anymore how does that make you completely disabled/unemployable?...
Completely disabled and unable to do ANY Gainful employment?..,,

And should you draw from Taxpayers before retirement?

Please remember that child support is paid through the state. And the recipient is issued the same card as ebt. So the "freeloader" you see, may be raising some dumbass' kids. I know this because I gained full custody of my 4 children, yes, a man in ga. got his kids. A few times i would be in line at the grocery store and some dikhead would say something smart about the new truck i got out of and his taxes paid for it. I would calmly explain to them, it is child support, i work a full time job and raise my children by myself, and they would still huff and puff. Hope this helps some of you get through the grocery store without judging your neighbors too much. After all no one is as perfect as you are, mommas little babies
