It was so bad right at the take down lever, I had to use a small screw driver to pull it down to remove the slide. I then used a round file to smooth over and open that area back up so you could just use ya fingers to take it down. I believe the guy I bought it from had just done it, because you could still smell the melted plastic when I met him. He swore he didn't do it though.
