Glad you caught us up. Beautiful place. Tomorrow last day? What tags will you use? What cartridge are you using? At what distance? I was figuring on a 375H&H.
I’ve got tags for cow elk, doe (mule or whitetail), and pronghorn doe.

Seems like you'd have to thread a needle with that pea shooter. I call it a pea shooter because what you're hunting with it. Seems I remember you talking about taking that. Have you taken elk with a 308? What do you think about the 375H&H for that? I just don't want to have to chase them down........For miles........I usually use Weatherby 307 in .280 Ackley Improved, but this year I’m using a SIG Cross in .308.

I guess if you're using a 280, the 308 should be fine. However the 280 would probably be better for pronghorn. The 308 seems light for bear and I'd think elkI usually use Weatherby 307 in .280 Ackley Improved, but this year I’m using a SIG Cross in .308.

Oh I can thread a needle. Or at least used too. I just don't like tracking them. I like a good heart/ lung shot. Granted there are other ways, but that's what I like to do. At least on the game he's hunting. Bear is goin through the nose or eye into the brain308 is plenty for any North America game. Especially if you know what shot placement is and how to do it. Lol

Sometimes it happens. No rhyme or reason. That's why it's huntingIf you can thread a needle, you aren't tracking them far.
Not to him, it don’t. Nope, no way.Sometimes it happens. No rhyme or reason. That's why it's hunting
