It literally has trader in the name.
I have well over $1,500 in two of my 10/22's. As far as AR-15's, it really depends on what you're looking at.
You must be used to pricing from yesteryear. I'll use a good example. Bought my house in 2017. It's appreciated value by quite a bit. If you came by and said I'll buy it for what you paid for it, I'd laugh in your face until I passed out.
You know that early model Bronco you bought for a few bucks in the 80's? You think you'd be able to buy that same Bronco now for the same amount...nope.
Simple economics...
