Yeah, there a few replacements for Saigas, My gun Smith says that some of the replacement shotguns are light and won't last long. I have a few Saigas .12gs that are cleaned and put away, but if this new shotgun gets good reviews, I will get one.

I was lucky enough to get a Saiga 12 while they were still cheap ($500ish), fell in love with the 'platform' and got the .308, 7.62x39 and .223 versions. Had all modified for 922(r) compliance then scrambled for mags (hi-cap SGM mags) for all of them following Sandy Hook. The biggest complaint I had was the trigger pull on the .308. A trip to the local gunsmiths at Chestatee Firearms in Dahlonega (a shameless plug for folks that do great work) got the right trigger combo in it and is now, a pleasant shooter. All of the Saigas have eaten anything I have fed them.
