Just giving you my take as I have been in the commercial advertising industry for almost 25 years and have owned signs andngraphics businesses for the last 15. Again not meant to offend but I like to see people advertise for excellent results.

From what I have heard his quality of work will be all the advertisement he needs to be succesful.

Cool story. I hope he does extremely well. I know folks who do well without advertising at all but this is a brand new business with a commercial storefront. Dont take my word for it though.

I understand what you are saying but my point was I have seen many threads about who is the best gunsmith, where is a good gunsmith near so and so, etc. Buy I have never seen one that said I have a problem with my 1911 which gunstore has the prettiest advertising

Yeah, my guess is he could put "STAY OUT - NO TRESPASSING" all over the front of his place and he'd still be successful.

I have been to Dobbs and seen the storefront for myself. It is busy and tacky as hell. That said, it REALLY grabs your attention. If I was driving by and was it I would most certainly notice it and most certainly stop in to check it out. He is on a pretty busy street and think it is going to work well for him. I can't tell you what types of businesses are next door because I didn't notice there signs. I have driven past gun stores 100 times in the past before even noticing them. That will not be an issue for Dobbs.
