I hate the term "pick six". Ok it was witty, probably, when the first guy said it, now it is just cliché. Another one that gets my goad just as much (but used more often) is "Running down hill" What? The field is flat how is anyone running down hill? And how come only on some plays. I can hear it now. "You kids have it easy. When I played football we had to run down hill both ways!"

Well actually the field is not flat. There is a slight crest on the center line of the field that drains water toward each sideline. SO if the player runs toward the sideline he is actually "running down hill".
