i wonder if indoor fields are crested.....

Depends if they are natural or artificial turf i believe. Pretty sure GA dome is flat. But outdoor fields are crest for damn sure!! That brought back bad memories of gasers in the 100 degree sun after a full day of practice...

Well actually the field is not flat. There is a slight crest on the center line of the field that drains water toward each sideline. SO if the player runs toward the sideline he is actually "running down hill".

I hear you, but when they run to the sideline they are not running "down hill" in the eyes of the announcer. Somehow down hill is right up the middle.
