Piedmont Macon hospital, any metal detectors?

" Considering the **** that regularly happens in this country I don't really find anything funny about it. Most folks don't carry a cop in there pocket". My point was I don't need a firearm to stop an armed man. I don't rely on a single skill set. Relying on a calm, collective, action that is warranted is beneficial. Not worrying about a metal detector because of my insecurities. The individual who is experiencing this needs training. Perhaps in non lethal methods as well, but mainly anxiety lol. A gun is simply a force multiplier, that isn't always there.

That may work in certain scenarios but not all. I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.

You, Liam Neeson and Chuck Norris.

If you don't have first hand knowledge about the subject, kindly sit down and shut up and let the adults speak.

I am asking about any possible metal detectors and trying not to cause any delays with security or having to go back to my vehicle to secure the weapon and any added anxiety to my wife for her appointment as she is about to start a battle for her life, literally. Recently diagnosed with cancer, we are trying to get everything planned for her surgery and aftercare treatments.

As for you spouting off that I need to train more or learn non-leathal John Wick techniques, you have no idea who I am or what training I have. Just trying to maintain a level of personal security while visiting a ****hole city.

FYI at Peidmont Medical Center in Columbus they have a weapons detection system when you walk in the front door. Same at the one in Lagrange.

A front desk has what looks like armed security that will approach you if you set off the system. It scans humans as they walk in and will alert if you have a concealed Gen4 G19 with spare mags… ask me how I know.

It’s for your safety, remember and private property.

What’s sad is the hospital policy cannot allow security to search you but they can ask you to lift up your shirt to reveal your waistband if you want to comply.

I’m not familiar with the Macon hospital but I ended up visiting my father in law for a few hours in his room upstairs with a tool that really resembled a Gen4 G19 and spare mags 🤓

After I posted this, I realized that you are going through a very tough period and want to say that I’ll be praying for you and your family at this time.

To be honest, I wouldn’t risk the stress of trying to come in with a concealed weapon. I would plan accordingly and consider leaving the item properly secured in the vehicle before you pull into the parking lot.

My situation was a bit different as I was there on my time and had food and jokes for my father in law. Push come to shove, I would have complied but security was lacking in the first place.

Also my son was born at the Lagrange hospital back in 2010…scheduled and planned C-Section. We get there around 7am and get signed in and she gets into the wheelchair. We sign a bunch of documents and off to the labor/delivery floor… I’m just walking behind and following like a little puppy the entire time.

It was about 8:30am and there I was in the operating room just casually concealing a Desert Eagle 50AE because… why not conceal a Desert Eagle 🤣

Hmmm, how can I hide this...... 🤔
