Pitbull discussion started in The Awesome, Cool and Random Pic. Thread.

My vicious pit protecting her rawhide from the other dogs two nights ago. I’ve had pits for years in the family. Least aggressive dogs I’ve owned. My last pit I only saw her growling at one person. That was when I lived in some apartment’s. The guy she showed her teeth to there was something with him I just didn’t like. Evidently she didn’t either. He never came back. Good judge of character.

I will admit to having a bias against Pit bulls. From what I've seen over the years they're just unpredictable which is the dangerous part. There are other breeds that I dislike more but mainly because I know what to expect from them. If I had to name one breed that I would shoot on sight if I could legally it would be Chows. They're aggressive especially when there's more than one .
Anyway, when I worked at a salvage yard back in 2010 we had a "Gaurd Dog" named Tank that was an American Bull. They're a little bigger with bigger heads. He was already grown when we got him so I didn't know what to expect from him. I always kept something big and heavy close by just in case, like a hammer or a jack handle in case he snapped. But he never did. He was big teddy bear that went nuts for pizza crust. I miss him.
My neighbors have one Pitbull left after the other one got out and got hit by a car. I feed her every time I see her in the yard. She's sweeter and more affectionate than the little asshole Jack Russell we have here. So I guess the long drawn out point here is something about judging a book by the cover.

I love the Pitbulls , good dogs. Any breed can have a wild card or be trained to do bad things or mistreated.

The meanest dog we have ever had was a Mini- Schnauzer. We loved him like a child but he was mean , mean , mean.

Yeah it's kinda weird. The meanest dogs I've seen in person were Pomeranians, Cocker Spaniels and Chihuahuas. Those are what I call One Person Dogs. They like one person and everyone else is the enemy.
