Hey guys. I'm headed to GPSTC in Forsyth later today for two weeks of training. Not really familiar with the area, so I would love some recommendations for any good BBQ or meat and three home cooking places to try out while I'm in town. Any suggestions would be great!

There's an OB's bbq in McDonough area that's pretty good. Its on ur way.
The Prime Palate on the square in downtown Forsyth.
There are trainees in there all the time. Real good southern cooking buffet style.

Stay away from the Grits cafe unless you are into Fru=Fru eatin'.

But there fried asiago cheese grits things r awesome. Lol
Buckner's off exit 201. Sit down country cooking with lazy Susan tables. Runs 14-16 bucks for all you can eat. Love their chicken and peach cobbler.

Little Piggy Bar-b -q beside GPSTC is good. I usually just go to Macon. I like the Wild Wing down there.
I used to live in Forsyth and work at the Holiday Inn. They used to do a breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. The breakfast was decent but the others kinda sucked. Fresh Air BBQ is a couple of exits north in Jackson. Fincher's BBQ in Macon USED to be good. But it's not worth going into the ****ty ghetto areas of Macon to eat there. Just try to stay in Monroe Co and out of Bibb Co all together.
There's a Fresh Air BBQ in N. Macon right off I-75 that's good and close.
