Plantar Fasciitis

I did the Plyometrics portion of P90X 10 years ago.

Had Plantar for almost 2 years at that point. Prednosone did nothing, and all the other meds failed.

Day 4 of the Plyometrics I noticed my feet felt better, gone the next day. Only did 10 mins of the 30 min routine for the first 10 days.

10 years later still gone.

I've had three episodes of plantar fasciitis in the last 30 years. Each lasted 3 to 6 months. When I was in the Air Force the used ultrasonic heat and cold compresses. They also gave me a calf stretcher, an arch roller and custom orthotic inserts for my boots/shoes. The VA did pretty much the same thing the two other times I've had it.

You can get the calf stretcher and arch roller pretty much anywhere. A podiatrist can do the orthotics. Or you can try off the shelf variants.

Good luck. It is very painful, but it should pass.View attachment 9350920View attachment 9350921View attachment 9350922
Used the rocker with my last episode and hasn't been back. Used to get it quite often.

Well, I now have hoka shoes(not impressed so far), compression socks, a plantar fasciitis foot brace hold in place thingy, and daily stretches. So far none has helped.

Had it in the late 90's, ended up getting surgery to resolve the issue. Recovery sucked, foot was sore for about a year after, but it probably could have been a better recovery had I went to physical therapy as advised. I was traveling for work at the time and simply could not take off to make the appointments.

For me it was Hokas out of the house and crocs everywhere inside the house. I never really walk around barefoot. That pretty much knocked out the everyday pain I had.

Edited to add: my experience with Hokas is that I had to upsize significantly for a good fit. YMMV.

Same here, almost 2 sizes larger to get a proper fit. Tight toe box.
