In theory, sure. In practice, nowhere close.

As a rule of thumb for most forums, only about 10% of your registered users are actually active. We're above that, but even if it's double (and I don't think it is) that would be ~14,000 active users. From that number you'd then have to deduct those that are already supporters and those that wouldn't use the classifieds enough to think the cost was justified and wouldn't pay for a sub. So no, the number isn't anywhere near $720k.
Deduct the supporters? Supporters count for $15

A question... if you "made income" from a forum that deals in selling guns... How would the ATF look at that?

Our legal system is whacked and most laws seem to come with unforeseen consequences... Anyone a lawyer, or play one on TV?
That's an incredibly stupid question.

God forbid that people should make any money for their time and effort. Reeks of capitalism!

I don't care if he makes money from it. Uncle Sam(IRS or the BATF) might. And I say MIGHT, as I am not a CPA or a lawyer... it was just a question...

And jeepnuts jeepnuts that is a good point. You shouldn't deduct the sponsors, because from a revenue stream, they are paying MORE than the $1 a month club members would be...

For the year to year ones, you're correct, at least starting with the second year of the plan. Those who are already annual supporters wouldn't be paying again until their supporter sub ran out, so they wouldn't be included in year one, and the lifetime supporters, of which there are a lot, don't ever pay again.

The point wasn't to get hung up on the actual number, it was just to demonstrate that it's a hell of a lot smaller than 72,000 members x $10.

Pretty sure the $720k number was a joke...
