All I want to know is why you are charging to post ads? Keep spammers away? Sinking ship? What’s going on?

Curious minds want to know.

Seriously, if you had read the thread you would find I have answered those questions already, mostly in the first post.

I really enjoy the ODT and am on here to get a few laughs(which I do on a regular basis)buy a few things, sell a few things and even learn something from time to time. I would hate to see it disappear. I like somebody's idea several pages back to let people browse for free but charge $10 a year if you want to post an item. Hopefully it would keep some of the CL and water testers at bay. I'd even go for bumping up the supporter price a little if it helps. After all, don't supporters care about supporting?

You should charge 50 cents per post. You will make 5G's a year off biker. You can get alot of hookers for 5G

I pay to be a supporter because I know the site cost a lot to operate. I want it to survive because the posts are fun to read and participate in and I find some really good deals on guns and other items. Meet a lot of good folks too.

I encourage everyone that can to move to supporter status to help the site survive and grow. There is nothing else like it around so let’s help to keep it.
