Guess you can say I am cheap. I don't shop classifieds on Savageshooters or sell there because they have the pay to play fee. I don't mind advertisements if they keep the doors open.

I'm actually surprised at the amount of folks here that are bent sideways about a tiny contribution to a website that we all enjoy. Nothing is free, and if the ad revenue isn't enough to keep ODT going, then why is it a big deal to pay? That is a genuine question by the way...…..
I spend (wife says waste) enough time here, to consider it worth the few bucks to continue the use. I became a supporter today, just because of this thread. I never really thought about how much I used this site, nor did I stop to consider that nothing is autonomous and runs without someone's time/effort/work being invested. I get paid for my time at work, and figure it's fair for another man to ask the same.

I've got a snapper raffle I wants to sail on here. I wuz plannin' on axing $1,949.00 since it's capable of shooting it's own hole out but damn! A whole dollar?!?!? That throws my whole profit margin scheme out of whack!

The dollar wouldn't be so bad if everyone had to use "common sense" pricing. Got a couple of my "points" because of price stupidity. If you over price weapons as I've seen, the only thing I see in that, is folks paying a premium for guns they probably shouldn't have. Trust this, It only takes 1 time to answer your front door and a couple ATF agents standing there wanting to talk to you about guns.

I propose a contributor level system with attendant privileges:

1. $1 a month and you can post 5 classifieds per month
2. $5 a month and you can post 5 classifieds and make one snarky pricing comment per month
3. $15 a month gets you 10 classifieds and 2 snarky comments in the classifieds per month
4. $25 a month gets unlimited classifieds and 10 snarky comments in the classifieds per month
5. $50 per month gets unlimited classifieds and unlimited snarky comments on any Glock priced unreasonably
6. $100 a month and you randomly get to ban people for a day
7. $500 a month and you get complete immunity to say whatever you want for one month

For $1000 a month you can tell everyone that their stuff is all over priced and then post links to where you can find it cheaper.

The folks that think their used firearm is worth NEW "RETAIL" prices. I've been lucky because I don't care for Glocks, so I haven't been subject to the pricing idiotic crap. I just believe in fair pricing and honest folks. ONLY way I'll pay retail, is if it's new, I want it, and don't mind filling out a 4473.
