Killed GON, thats how we got here.I was a lifetime supporter but had my badge removed cause the holier than thou mods wouldnt stay the **** out of my business. So am I still a lifetime supporter?
Gon sucked, the mods are self important, Elf is a prick. Or whatever his name is. I love odt, no power tripping mods on the odt and made up rules

People complaining about $12 a year to post a listing without becoming a supporter should probably not have guns as a hobby at all. This site is well worth the support of the yearly membership in my opinion.

True story: Wednesday I walked into a gun store Off Buford Hwy after looking at a car. After looking at all the used guns they had, I determined that this community is the best for everything firearms related. While leaving there was a guy that was paying $840 for a HK VP9SK new. As a ODT’er I picked one up for $450 here that had barely been shot (if at all). Even the VP9SKs for sale at $525-550 are a deal (gotta love HK retail).

If people are complaining about a yearly membership then let them leave. They will be back after paying taxes and retail prices, unless legislation changes with the state or federal office.

Also if you need someone to cold call for advertising dollars let me know. I would be willing to help out.

$10 a year is a bargain for what this site offers.

Most forums charge at least $30 or so a year to buy/sell/trade and they are the largest forums for the hobbies they represent.

My question tho, is the lifetime supporter still valid?

Serious question? What's wrong with more ads? They're a great source of revenue, some members may bitch about them but they'll get over it. The problem with a subscription fee is a ton of people are just gonna be really turned off by being required to tie a bank account or electronic payment to the site. It's not about the dollar, tons of gun guys are just funny about electronic funds.

I'm not saying I care, or the couple hundred of us more active members care, but of the thousands of casual traders you would lose a good chunk of them if you required any form of electronic payment. Just run ads, it's what all the successful social media sites do.

Yes, definitely still valid.
