Burdy, that was a very nice post. For the most part, I agree with you, but not completely. Unfortunately, you feel as if those who disagree with the proposed change is about the money. For me, and for a lot of those who have posted, it has never been about the money. I can state without hesitation, that the last part of the question, "and is a bad idea" is why I voted the way I did. I feel it is a bad idea based on the plan one of the owners of this site proposed. As I have stated before, the site would be divided between "supporters" and those who pay to sell. Burdy, read back and look at the statements made by "supporters" about those who are not supporters. They completely forget that being a supporter was a choice, not mandatory.
I don't doubt that hard work is involved in running this site. I don't doubt that money needs to be made to keep the site running. I don't even mind your wanting to charge to play and make this a pay site. What I don't like is your comment about being ungrateful. I know you are an owner, but face it man, you provide a service. If disagreeing with you is ungrateful, I am truly ungrateful. Why don't you rethink your plan to make money while dividing the site and come up with a different plan. You want me to thank the owners of this site for providing a service that will no longer be free? Uh, well, thank you for charging me to be on your site. I like the site, have been on the site for years, but not an original member. I don't like being characterized as ungrateful because you think my opposition is about $10. My opposition is that there is a better plan, and I did not just whine about finding a different way, I proposed a plan. Which is something you have not done....yet. Do you really feel you can try and "shame" members into agreeing with you? Maybe you are not as grateful as you should be for those who frequent this site, supporters or not.
