Portable power station suggestions

Apparently I need to add "Exploding Meteor" to the list of possible emergencies.
Never heard nothing like it and Sonny was losing his mind.

I decided on the Bluetti AC 180 for my immediate needs.
I was going to get their new power station that debuts today at an insane introductory price but availability isn't until mid to late August and the way the weather has been I don’t want to wait that long. (Storming now)
I still make pick up the new model at a later date if the price holds.
It seems to have everything I need for short term emergency power needs or until I can get the generators fired up.

Just get you a one or two house gen set. Run it on propane or natural gas depending on what you have. The small one for back up and small jobs. The larger one for long power outages and being able to run A/C, dryer ect

Ive used several bigger jackerys and an eco flow till they died in the 1000w to 3000w to maintain a laptop phone and ventilation equipment (AS are starter power hogs) try get something you can plug in and keep charged solar is a great option for off grid use but for emergency back up its iffy and supplemental keeping it plugged in and charged is the way to go 3-5k watts is kind of a min for personal medical and communication my Dad used his eco flow alot

I’ve been very pleased with my Jackery 3000. I have a 1000 also. Both have solar as backup. Can run quite a bit from them. 3000 is actually on sale at Home Depot right now.
Also have had good luck with my smaller jackery running my trailer lights etc while camping and keeping things charged up during power outages.

Had a Bluetti for 2 years now.
GR8 for charging the phones, flashlights, We even ran the Christmas lights last year just to test how long.
Expandable too, can add more, or larger solar panels.
Ebay was my friend. :thumb:
Got mine today and I've been playing with it to see what it will pull.
So far everything except a window AC.
Going to test it tonight with my sleeping accouterments (Cpap, fan and phone) overnight to see how it does which is primarily what I wanted it for so I don't have to fool with generators in the middle of the night when our storms invariably hit.
If it does a good job I may go ahead and pick up a second unit while the sales are still going on to run my wife's medical equipment in a lights out situation.

Range report!! LOL
Not really super impressed but I guess it will do in a pinch.
Went from a full charge (99%) at 12:30 to 17% at 5:30 with that hourly wattage consumption averaging around 97 watts.
That 5 hours is well below what what the claimed useful hours is stated at with this model.
If I go ahead and get a second one it's probably not going to be another one of these but something with a little more juice in the tank.
I do really like the Bluetooth connectivity though so that's a definite plus and the thing charges PDQ.
It's going to take me awhile to learn my way around how these things operate I am a dinosaur after all...old and slow but I'll get there eventually.
