I say legalize it, tax the crap out of it and regulate it like we seem to do everything else.

I've long been in favor of legalization, but the chaos that hard drugs and even just MJ have caused in Portland, and Colorado, respectively, are the stuff of social/civil nightmares, and give me some pause. Hoards of newcomers to those places, who think staying high, living in a tent in the middle of a city, and suckling the government teat is a useful way to live a life.
Can you imagine, twenty years ago, a Venezuelan gang taking over an apartment complex in Aurora, CO?
I travel to both locales frequently, and the change I've seen in the past few years is startling.
I go to Portland 8 or 10 time s year that city is in shambles
