Possible announcement today at 3:30pm EST..."Weed to be rescheduled"

What possible evidence do you have of this? More drugs than what? More violence than what other timeline? You don't have any evidence of this. You have a philosophy.
You'd almost have to be on heavy drugs to make such an ignorant statement.

The evidence is the amount of drugs and drug related violence pre and post prohibition. With the prohibition of alcohol we quickly learned a lesson and reversed course. With the prohibition of marijuana the lesson has been the same, with no course correction, just double down on stupid.

So you have no evidence. Of course you don't, we live in a singular timeline.

You can avoid hypocrisy by being obtuse 100% of the time, but at the end of the day, you're still obtuse 100% of the time.

I have the same evidence you have, using the exact same standards.

You point to a city and timeline where marijuana was legalized, and then point to the changes since as your "evidence"

I'm doing the same, pointing to a country and timeline where marijuana was criminalized, and pointing to the changes as my "evidence"

The only difference is I have far more evidence over a much longer timeline. Since the war on drugs began we have more drugs, harder drugs, more drug related violence, despite the billions spent and erosion of civil liberties it's been a terrible return on investment.

You claimed we have more violence and more drugs as a result of the war on drugs. Where is your evidence?

Imagine visiting a handful of liberal cities in a state and thinking you understand the entire state because you stayed at a hotel downtown.

Will Atlanta get worse if they completely legalized weed? Probably. Will Atlanta get worse if they don't completely legalize weed. Probably.
Imagine having an opinion over experiences. Atlanta would get exponentially worse.
We get it. You smoke pot and think it would be sunshine and potpourri if legalized because.... well just because. You haven't bothered to leave your bubble (don't blame you) to form your opinion. The virtual world works just fine especially when you can reinforce bias infinitely.
Some of us have actually seen what it does. "You gonna believe me or your lyin' eyes?"
Should it be legalized? That's simply a matter of opinion. Will it gets "worse" if it is legalized. We have demonstrable examples, just like all other vices (gambling, prostitution, etc). Freedom isn't (always) pretty. People simply need to acknowledge that, more.
As I said in the very beginning, the current classification is unjustifiable.

Ironic.

I had an ounce of pot given to me around last thanksgiving. Had to toss the remains of it last month because it had basically gotten so dry it was to harsh to do anything with. So yeah I'm a real big smoker :pound:

My opinion is simple, you shouldn't kidnap people at gunpoint because they have a plant that makes ice cream taste better, music sound better, and movies more interesting.

I know I know, I'm a real extremist when it comes to freedom.

I’ve been in favor of banning alcohol for 21 years. The fact that they haven’t done so is ok with me. It still can affect the user’s mental state… but it no longer affects mine.
They tried that once. Didn't work out so well. (Which should be a consideration when debating legalizing anything.)
Legalize it and stop controlling what free people can do with a plant God put here. Let Darwin take it from there.
Then put coca and poppy and shrooms, and everything derived from them, in the same bucket. Everything is natural.

Right. No grey area. Guys with no grey area are why we can’t have fun things. 😂

It’s kind of a silly argument, with the exception of shrooms… I’m pretty sure you don’t need to add Diesel fuel or Acetone to make weed work. But, whatever.
