Possible announcement today at 3:30pm EST..."Weed to be rescheduled"

Responding with a clear mind, completely unaltered is going to be best.
You don't know that a small dose of marijuana would make your mind more or less clear. Because you've never experienced it.

Your mind is never truly clear, that's huge fallacy. Our minds have so many walls and safeguards it puts up that we have absolutely no clue what reality even is.

Some drugs can remove those walls, and show you the ugly truth of reality, some drugs can remove safeguards that aren't necessary and show you the beauty of reality.

Simple example is this illusion. Both blocks are the same color, but your clear and sober mind is lying to you because it thinks the truth would be dangerous to you.

Absolutely not. I'm not saying mind altering substances are a safe game to play. It's a terribly dangerous game with huge consequences.

But I can think of nothing more tyrannical than a government that claims the authority to control your own state of mind—a government that presumes to decide which substances you may use to explore your consciousness.

Such control is even more oppressive than restricting your movement or limiting your freedom of speech, more tyrannical than dictating what you may or may not own.

It is the ultimate declaration of power: “We own you, and even your inner self is not yours to explore.”

I don't disagree with all of that, I have innate biases that are not going to be overcome. I try to remain as impartial as possible, be open to taking i n new information, etc, but there are experiences I've had that trump some of this...like most of us have.

Sure. That's why I simplify it to

"people shouldn't be held at gunpoint and kidnapped for possession of a plant"

That leaves a metric **** ton of room for other peoples opinions and what not.

Like that doesn't mean you can blow smoke wherever, or be intoxicated wherever, or drive wherever.

That doesn't mean an employer can't drug test you and deny your employment.

It doesn't mean you're free from the consequences of marijuana.

It simply means the government should have no authority to physically deny you of life and property because you're in possession of a plant.

Constitutional law aside, and just looking at it through the lense of personal liberty and freedom, banning a plant is more insane than the craziest gun laws we have on the books.

For the record: Big respect to anyone that made it through life without experimentation.

I don’t think that gives anyone the right to judge others actions nor does it make their opinions on legalization any better or more pertinent.

It’s an interesting topic and I like the opposing views.

100 percent agree man.

I can understand the effects without experiencing it. That's part of the beauty of being a human with human level intelligence.
That's like trying to be a marriage counselor without ever having been married. Teaching a class at a culinary arts school and never operating a grill or a stove. All prior meals prepared in a microwave. Imagine telling a woman you could preform like Ron Jeremy after being celibate your whole life. Experience matters. :pop2:

I’ve been smoking since the early 70s don’t think it’s going to affect me any! But I will say this new weed is definitely different than old weed
I don't have big enough balls to try this new stuff. Last time I smoked it I was so paranoid I didn't know how to act. Not me! I have enough anxiety as it is! Been a long time since I did it.
