CONLEY, Ga. - The manhunt is on for the gunman who shot and robbed a United State Post Office worker. Police are also searching for the postal truck the thief made off during that robbery.

Friday night, someone got into a secured area at the post office located in the 1300 block of Cedar Grove Road in Conley sometime between 7:15 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. They shot the postal worker then made off with the truck he was driving.

Odd that this happened there, as it's a "Gun Free Zone."

Citizens can legally carry firearms in post office parking lots, a federal judge has ruled.

The case stems from a lawsuit filed by Tab Bonidy, a resident of rural Avon, Colorado, who was prohibited by U.S. Postal Service regulations from carrying his gun on postal service property.

OK I remembered this ruling, but seems I read that the news was wrong and that the ruling only was for CO. I'll look for it.
