powder for 3030 plz

Have you tried Varget with a 170gr bullet? Nosler fifth edition says it's the most accurate powder tested in their test barrel, the most accurate charge weight was at minimum. Heck if it doesn't work you have great powder for many other calibers. My bet is it'll work very well. should be running around 1750fps
It seems the most accurate loads with most powders are near the start charge weight except IMR4895 which liked a max load at 90% density. You may be trying to over drive them.

Lyman 45 edition list for the 30-30 factory duplicaton load for the 150 is rx11 32 grains 2460 fps 39,400 cup
170 grain bullet is r 11 29.1 grains 2243 fps 37700cup
Hopes this helps

what twist rate is your gun? find bullets that pair well. varget, imr 4064, re15 are very stable double base powders. military uses one of those 3 in their m118 lr .308 ammo. one of those should work well for you.

I started my reloading for a Marlin 336 in 30-30, my pet load has been 33.3 grains IMR 4895 under a Sierra 125-gr. flat-nose hollow-point. That's under factory for speed/recoil, but seems to cross over to the Winchester 94s in that caliber quite well. The point is to choose as well as you can (use others' experience to point you to published loading data), then start slowly working your way up to a safe AND accurate load for your rifle. The 30-30 is a fairly forgiving cartridge.
