Powder Scale and Dispenser Opinion

Hmmmm... my experience differs from some others. My powder throwers vary by about .5 grains using Retumbo; a little less with Varget. They do fine with AA2230 of course.

So I often am loading rounds where I have to weigh every charge.

The best system is quasi-automated. Throw a slight undercharge into your digital scale pan using any old powder measure; use the RCBS electronic trickler to bring it up to weight. I mean the electronic one with the IR link to the scale. This is by far the fastest system, because it only has to trickle a few tenths of grains. But it's a lot cheaper than the systems with the big hoppers, which is why you'll have a hard time buying the trickler-- more profit in the other system. Plus, they aren't $39.99 anymore.

I can throw and trickle a 96 grain charge in well under ten seconds-- probably more like 6. As far as I know, the big-hopper systems can't come close to that.
