Hey there, any one have this optic mounted on an ak? I have one and mounted it on my palmetto gf5 using a midwest mount. The paper says to not use the risers for an ak but i can see my front sight thru the scope, so i tried the risers they make it look funny on the gun, and even with the tallest one i can still see my front sight thru it. Its not co witness either it appears in the bottom left corner of the scope. If there a way to make this disappear? Or is it supposed to be like that. Everything is level the mount and scope. Pics show no riser and medium riser for comparison even with the tallest riser i can still see the front sight and it looks goofy as hell with the risers.

You are going to see the front sight on an AK. No way around it.

The risers are to adjust where the buttstock contacts your face. Cheek weld versus chin weld. AKs typically do not need risers, but adjust for YOUR comfort.

I am going to suggest you put a cheek piece on your stock and not use the riser on your optic. You will achieve a proper cheek weld, though the front sight will be visible. These are available in .25”, .50”, .75” heights.

Gotcha thank you.
