Dawson Forest definitely gives off some spooky vibes when it gets dark. Some guys plowed through the river crossing in a tahoe and flooded the engine out. My girl said to turn around and leave them but we towed em and hung out for a few. Wouldnt mind finding a good tp camp near a creek/river then hunt early.
There's an old nuclear plant there as well. I've seen mountain lion, bear tracks. I always like the place
Yeah.We ventured into the gated off area with the large building but the entrance that was once dug down to enter the facility is covered with large stumps and trees's by the dnr. Went into a small building next to it. Very cool place with alot of history.
Long Creek Falls off the AT is a good spot
I talked to several WMA field offices for just such information. They said as long as I practiced "leave no trace" I was good to go wherever.
