I have never killed a mature buck opening day,killed a couple on Sunday

I've taken 8 pt on a couple of opening days. Popped a lot more does however since we are QDM. I do remember opening day one year that I was concerned a out getting out of the tree. Counted 109 shots from start time to 10am. They were rocking the lake and surrounding area that morning.

Just one “opening day” mature buck for me. Opening morning of 2012. Shot him at 35 yards with a 45/70.
