Private School vs Public School

Remember, even when this schooling is expensive, that you are giving them opportunity to have better live than most American. Putting Kids around people of same class and culture is very important to give them belonging

I was a public school teacher as was my wife. Our daughter attended a private school until she started 10th grade. The private school could not teach math, chemistry and physics as well as the public school. My daughter was able to enter the local community college college at the end of her 11th grade year. She graduated from University of Florida with a 4.0 GPA.
We felt that having a good foundation in math, science, and language arts was important. The public school teachers had to teach down to the level of the slowest students until high school where there were academic tracks and vocational tracks. Ain't diversity wonderful.

Some friends of ours had to pull their kids out of a popular private school in our area and put them in public. They had them both tested as one is behind in reading. Neither were at the level they should be for their grade in several of their subjects. Needless to say, the parents were quite %*^# off at the "higher" education they had been paying for. I'm not knocking private and home schooling, do what you think is best for you and your kids. Just don't think that any private or homeschool program is a "fix all".

Btw, there is nothing good that goes on ITP, school or anything else.

It was a very costly decision , but we put our daughter in private school around fourth grade. She graduated last year with high honors. It surely had challenges at times. She is brilliant and just an incredible person.
Id like to take credit for that ,but the school was a huge factor.

It’s a decision only y’all can make. Ive seen good and bad from both and certainly from home school All three of mine went public all the way and have done well. Having said that I worked 2 jobs and wife was stay at home and very involved in their schools. Lastly we raised them in church and they have all stayed after growing up and married . We also take it serious. That’s all I know
