I don't think of it as a sense of security. Just due diligence. When I purchase anything or a service, I do a little research. It doesn't always result in a fair deal, but at least I know I did what I could. If that's too much for some folks selling, I'll live with that.You Sir, should probably stick with FFL dealers.
Whenever you buy anything secondhand there is always a possibility of it being stolen.
Even running the numbers, or buying it from a FFL dealer, doesn't mean is wasn't stolen, it just means that it hasn't been reported stolen. So there's that.
You shouldn't set yourself up with a false sense of security.

It happened a good while ago on here... basically there was a string of robberies that were happening in an apartment complex in ATL... a few black guys were agreeing to meet people up to purchase guns and then proceeded to ambush them... they got one guy off here for a pistol ... they ended up getting caught and all of the guns they robbed were found in that same apartment complex... when they messaged me , I saw red flags and did not even reply...More info
