Public Ponds around Dallas?

Since I don't have a boat or kayak my favorite type of fishing is bank fishing in a pond. I was just wondering if you guys know any good public ponds around dallas? I have hiked to Gold Mine Lake and it was filled with algae looks like no hope for fishing. I also frequently fish Lost Mountain pond off 120 where I catch a few every once in awhile. Soif you know any ponds in the Acworth/Dallas area chime in.

There is a park off 61, towards villa Rica, on Mustang dr. I can't remember the name of the park, but fishing (catch and release) is allowed there.

I used to play disc at white oak, I'll check that out my next day off thanks. I pretty much always catch and release unless it's saltwater or a nice lake.

61 south of New Georgia. Make a left and sweetwater church rd, follow that all the way back. There's a private lake/pond there, it's 5.00 per person, all state laws apply. Some times I do good, sometimes I don't. I just got a canoe, so maybe I'll do better. They're 3 sections of water to fish there.

Lake Jane on Pine Shadows Rd.Was a pay-lake,might still be.I caught cats and crappie there.
